Windows 8 Not Able to Generate Enchantment PC

Charm turns tablets and smartphones affect the delivery of personal computers (PCs) worldwide. In fact, according to a recent report that device shipments declined in the last three months of 2012.

Reported by the Telegraph, Tuesday (01/15/2013), Gartner said worldwide PC shipments fell to 90.3 million units in the last three months of 2012. This figure shows that the PC starts to lose its charm along with the proliferation of smartphones and tablets in the market.

"Tablets are changing the landscape dramastis devices for PCs, though not so much captured in PC sales, but it is consumers prefer to buy a tablet rather than replace their old PCs," said principal analyst at Gartner, Mikako Kitagawa.

Meanwhile, the industry hopes that the new version of Microsoft Windows that was released last October to revitalize the sector that has long been buffeted by the emergence of tablets and smartphones.

Unfortunately, Gartner called the new operating system does not have a significant effect on PC shipments in the fourth quarter of 2012. The reason, the first Windows 8 devices do not provide the same touch screen interface as tablets.

Not quite up there, Windows 8 also reap disappointment from industry players. Vale chief executive Gabe Newell describes the operating system as "a giant of sorrow."

"Just hurt everyone in the PC business," said Newell.
